The Smoky Mountains is one of the most magnificent areas in the country.  Despite The Smoky Mountains’ awe inspiring vistas I seem to be drawn to photograph the intimate landscapes as much as anything. I created this image while hiking and exploring along the edge of a stream late one afternoon

One of my favorite ways to explore nature is on my belly in the dew at dawn!!
