There is a zone I strive for when creating photographs. It is probably similar to the zone athletes and other artists reach where time stops and there is only this moment…..
It is a wondrous place!

“See how nature – trees, flowers, grass – grows in silence; see the stars, the moon and the sun, how they move in silence…we need silence to be able to touch souls.”

Big News!!! On May 2-4 2014, I will be leading a workshop at Big South National Recreation Area. We did this last year and I have received many requests to do this workshop again in 2014. This is one of my favorite places to photograph due to the incredible variety of subject matter so readily available. Expect to see a lot of amazing scenery both large and small. We are limiting this workshop to 12 people so sign up quickly to insure your spot. You can find the details by clicking HERE
Since my prints are on display all over the world, I don’t get to see the installations of my artwork very often. A few of my clients have sent me some images of how they have used my artwork! Here is a small sampling of the places my prints have been installed:
Here is my speaking schedule for the next couple of months:
Nashville Photography Club Tuesday August 20th 2013
Southern Appalachian Nature Photographers August 27th 2013
Photographic Society of Chattanooga October 17th 2013
One of my primary motivations, as a photographic artist is to share the beauty I find in nature. It is interesting, that even with sharing as one of the goals, the actual creation of my art is ultimately a solitary pursuit….

Just returned from one of my “almost” annual trips to Texas. This wasn’t the best year for flowers (though the spring display of flowers is incredible even in a bad year) so I devoted more time to exploring the Hill Country that Texas is so famous for. Here are a few images from this trip and below the WordPress gallery be sure to check out the link to one of my Texas portfolios. Enjoy!
